Bernard Cribbins (1928-2022)

Hello everyone.

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

Not only has David Warner passed away recently, but so has Bernard Cribbins. 😦 I’m saddened Bernard Cribbins is no longer with us. I saw him recently on the big screen when checking out the two ‘Doctor Who’ films with Peter Cushing as well as 1970’s ‘The Railway Children’ on Prime Video. Continue reading

‘The Railway Children’ Movies

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Let’s talk about ‘The Railway Children’! I first became aware of E. Nesbit’s children’s story through the 2000 TV film, featuring Jenny Agutter as the mother and Jemima Rooper as Bobbie. Lately, I’ve checked out ‘The Railway Children’ films – the 1970 film and the 2022 sequel, both made for cinema. Continue reading

Convention Memories – ‘Cardiff Film & Comic Con 2014’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

Before I share my latest convention report on the ‘London Comic Con Spring’ from last weekend, let’s talk about another set of ‘convention memories’! It’s time to talk about the first convention I attended back in 2014 – the ‘Cardiff Film & Comic Con’! This was held at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, March 2014. This was one of the happiest conventions I attended, since it was close to home. 🙂 Continue reading

Revisiting ‘Fawlty Towers’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

For the past twelve weeks, I’ve revisited ‘Fawlty Towers’, one of my favourite BBC TV sitcom shows from the 1970s. I’ve updated my reviews on each of the twelve episodes in the series with some extra new thoughts and some brand-new photos. I’ve also updated my review on the Specsavers advert ‘Fawlty Car’. DVD review – ‘Patrick’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This is a film I didn’t expect to come back to very soon! For my Dad’s birthday today, I’ve done a full-length review on the comedy film ‘Patrick’. This was released at cinemas for a short time in the UK in June 2018. And it was shown for the first time in the USA in…February 2019…for some reason! Huh? Continue reading

It’s the final story of the David Tennant era of ‘Doctor Who’ and it’s a two-parter. This story features David Tennant’s Doctor who faces John Simm’s Master. The Doctor is accompanied by Bernard Cribbins as Wilfred Mott and they have to face the menace of the Master and the Time Lords led by Timothy Dalton. Continue reading

‘Doctor Who’ Marathon – ‘Turn Left’

It’s the penultimate episode of Series 4 of ‘Doctor Who’ and it’s a big one for Catherine Tate as Donna Noble. This is ‘Turn Left’ where we see how Donna’s life could’ve turned out had she never met the Doctor. This episode also features the return of Billie Piper as Rose Tyler and an epic cliff-hanger ending. Continue reading
