‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘The Celestial Toymaker’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

In this ‘Doctor Who’ adventure, William Hartnell as the First Doctor ends up playing games with Michael Gough (who would go on to play Alfred in the four original ‘Batman’ films from 1989 to 1997) as the Celestial Toymaker. Plus, the Doctor is invisible for most of this adventure. 😐 Peter Purves as Steven and Jackie Lane as Dodo also end up having to play games with the Toymaker. You can listen to ‘The Celestial Toymaker’ soundtrack on audio CD or Audible, and you can watch the fourth surviving episode of this four-part story in the ‘Lost In Time’ DVD collection. ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ – Series 7 REVIEWED

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

At last! I’ve finished reviewing the original ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ TV series, starring Robert Hardy, Christopher Timothy, Peter Davison and Lynda Bellingham. I’ve just reviewed Series 7 as well as the 1990 Christmas Special called ‘Brotherly Love’. It hasn’t been a great season, but I enjoyed it. 🙂 Continue reading

‘All Creatures Great and Small’ – Series 6 REVIEWED

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve finished my reviews on Series 6 of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. I have enjoyed this season, though I don’t think its as good as previous seasons. This is bound to be due to Peter Davison as Tristan not being in it much. But hey Series 7 is coming up next. I’m looking forward to see Trist back in that! 😀 Continue reading

‘All Creatures Great and Small’ – Series 5 REVIEWED

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve reviewed all of Series 5 of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. Once again, I didn’t know what to expect with this season. But I watched and reviewed every episode of this season and I enjoyed it. But do I think this season is better than Series 4? Well, you’ll have to find out by reading my latest reviews. Continue reading

‘All Creatures Great and Small’ – Series 4 REVIEWED

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve done it! I’ve reviewed all of Series 4 of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. A season I barely knew about and I’ve reviewed each episode upon a first viewing on DVD (apart from the first episode of course since I saw that episode years before I watched Series 4 in its entirely on DVD lately). I’ve got three more seasons after this. I’ve enjoyed Series 4 of ‘All Creatures’, but it’s not as good as the first three seasons to be honest. Continue reading

‘All Creatures Great and Small’ – Christmas Specials (1983–1985) REVIEWED

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s Christmas time!

Okay, no it isn’t. But I’ve added my two reviews on the two Christmas Specials of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ from 1983 and 1985 to my blog! These are the two final episodes that feature what I consider to be the golden era of ‘All Creatures’. It’s where the series ends for me on a personal level, but I will be watching and reviewing Series 4 next. Continue reading

‘All Creatures Great and Small’ – Series 3 REVIEWED

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve finished all of my reviews on Series 3 of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’! This is where it sort of ends for me regarding the original run of ‘All Creatures’ episodes. There are the two Christmas Specials to look forward to, but this is where I feel the series ends for me before it goes downhill. I will be reviewing Series 4-7 after doing the Christmas Specials, but this will not be with the same enthusiasm. Continue reading

The last episode of the season is a Christmas episode, just in time for us to celebrate Christmas next month. The TV series stars Christopher Timothy, Robert Hardy, Peter Davison and Carol Drinkwater. Continue reading
