We continue checking out Season 17 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with Tom Baker by taking a look at the second story in the season called ‘City of Death’. This is my second favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story in the entire series (the first of course being ‘Black Orchid’). The story has Paris in 1979; Julian Glover as the villain; a cameo of John Cleese and Eleanor Bron; and an enjoyable comedy-drama plot by Douglas Adams, based on the ideas by David Fisher.

So it was only fair that I had a listen to the TV soundtrack of another one of my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stories with Tom Baker – ‘City of Death’. How was it? It was pretty amazing!!!

Douglas wrote three ‘Doctor Who’ stories for TV and was the script-editor for the series in 1979 for Season 17. I’m celebrating his contribution to the series in my reviews!

Convention Report – ‘Fantom Events at Memorabilia 2016’

Last weekend, I attended the ‘MCM Birmingham Comic Con’, a twice-a-year two-day event at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. ‘Fantom Events at Memorabilia’ was taking place at the event on both days. I only went on the Saturday as I had a commitment on the following Sunday.
