At this point, three episodes of Series 10 of ‘Call the Midwife’ have been transmitted on BBC TV. I of course haven’t seen them yet. I’m currently watching the seasons set before Series 10. I’ve finished watching Series 7 and I’m looking forward to revisiting Series 8 and 9 before I watch Series 10 on DVD, which I’ve pre-ordered from Amazon.co.uk. Continue reading

TV Review – ‘Grantchester’, Series 5, Episode 2

I enjoyed watching Series 5, Episode 2 of ‘Grantchester’ last night. It was another enjoyable episode that combined both character drama as well as a murder mystery. It’s interesting how ‘Grantchester’ does that in one hour of TV compared to other murder mysteries that have 2 hours to tell the story. Continue reading

This is one of my favourite episodes in Series 8 of ‘Doctor Who’ and it’s the first writing contribution by Jamie Mathieson. Series 8 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Peter Capaldi

With the latest news that Peter Capaldi is now leaving ‘Doctor Who’ and with Series 10 on its way next month in April, I’ve now added my DVD reviews on Series 8 on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. Series 8 is Peter Capaldi’s first season as the Twelfth Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’ and was shown in 2014. It also stars Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald, the Twelfth Doctor’s companion for Series 8.
