At last! After sharing ‘The Lord of the Rings: Comedy Version’ in my 2021 advent calendar last December, I’ve finished updating my reviews on ‘The Lord of the Rings’ BBC radio series set in the world of Middle-Earth! I’ve enjoyed revisiting this radio series and updating my reviews on the three volumes. The ‘LOTR’ radio series stars Ian Holm as Frodo Baggins, Michael Horden as Gandalf, Robert Stephens as Aragorn, John Le Mesurier as Bilbo Baggins, Peter Woodthorpe as Gollum and Bill Nighy as Samwise Gamgee. I’ve added my latest DVD review on the 1995 BBC TV production of ‘Persuasion’, starring Amanda Root and Ciarán Hinds. ‘Persuasion’ is my Mum’s favourite Jane Austen story and she likes the 1995 TV production of the story very much. At last! I’ve finished seeing all of ‘Blake’s 7’ on DVD! It’s taken me a while to see all of ‘Blake’s 7’, but I’m happy to say I saw the final episode before the last day of October 2019. ‘Blake’s 7’ has been an enjoyable Sci-Fi series indeed. It’s the season finale of Season 12 of ‘Doctor Who’ and it has Tom Baker’s Doctor with Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane and Ian Marter as Harry facing the Cybermen. I wouldn’t consider this a great Cybermen story or a very good season finale overall, but this was pretty enjoyable and entertaining. Continue reading
