Axos is calling Earth, as we venture into the third story of Season 8 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series – ‘The Claws of Axos’. This four-part story is the first to be written by Bob Baker and Dave Martin. Once again, Jon Pertwee stars as the Third Doctor with Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. As well as Axos, this story also features Roger Delgado back again as the Master in ‘Doctor Who’. ‘The Claws of Axos’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox.

It’s time for me to share my completed reviews on Series 4 of the BBC comedy TV series ‘It Ain’t Half Hot Mum’ by Jimmy Perry and David Croft. I’m enjoying revisiting this BBC comedy series. I know it’s something that won’t be shown today (it’s clearly not on Britbox and I think you’ll be able to check it out on Amazon Prime Video), but it’s interesting how Jimmy Perry and David Croft tackled a comedy TV series like this about British India. I’m looking forward to revisiting Series 5 on DVD next. 🙂

Quick DVD Box Set Review – ‘It Ain’t Half Hot Mum’

My parents and I have just finished atching the complete DVD box set of ‘It An’t Half Hot Mum’! This was a Christmas present I gave to Dad last year and I’m amazed we’ve finished all the episodes over a month! My parents have really enjoyed this comedy series and I’m pretty pleased about that!
