Well, the first three films more than the fourth film, but we’ll get into that a little more later on. The ‘Spy Kids’ films were created by Robert Rodriguez, who wrote, directed and edited the films.

I’ve had a chance to check out ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ films again, set in the world of Middle-Earth. I’m planning to do a ‘LOTR’-styled Advent Calendar for my blog this year with a comedic edge to it. I also hope to make a start on updating my reviews on the ‘LOTR’ radio series once I’ve sorted out my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ reviews for this year. I also hope to see the new ‘LOTR’ TV series on Amazon Prime Video soon.

My parents and I saw another Disney film on Disney+ recently! This time around, it’s ‘The Adventures of Huck Finn’, a 1993 adventure film written and directed by Stephen Sommers. Some of you may know him for directing the first two ‘Mummy’ movies as well as the 1994 ‘Jungle Book’ film.

This TV movie was shown in ‘The Wonderful World of Disney’ US programme back in 1997. Like most film adaptations, this differs to what’s in the book.

Who am I to argue? ‘The Lord of the Rings’ is one of the best movie trilogies ever made in the history of cinema. It’s well-directed by Peter Jackson, with strong characters and amazing worlds in Middle-Earth, based on the books by J.R.R. Tolkien. Without a doubt, it’s the most successful of film trilogies.
