Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome to the final instalment of the ‘Star Wars Review Season’!

We finish this year’s ‘Star Wars Review Season’ by revisiting the latest ‘Star Wars’ movie in the Skywalker saga…before we get to seeing ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ in December 2019…which I’m really looking forward to. It’s time to take another look at ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi’. Oh boy, this movie! 😀 Continue reading

Week 6 – ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’

It’s him!

Timelord007!

Yes! The ultimate ‘Star Wars’ fan! He’s followed my ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’! He wants to do a crossover review with me on ‘Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi’! But I won’t let him! Oh no! He’s not going to get to have a chance to have his say on a ‘Star Wars’ movie! Oh yes! I will see that… Continue reading

Week 5 – ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’

Last time in ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’!!!

Princess Leia has stolen the plans for the Death Star! The Galactic Empire chase after her! Darth Vader leads the chase! She gets captured! But we’ve ‘A New Hope’! Two droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO go down to Tatooine! They meet Luke Skywalker! They also meet Obi-Wan Kenobi – now an old man!!!

BUT WAIT! They get extra help! Han Solo and his hairy friend Chewbacca take our heroes to the Death Star! Fly in the Millennium Falcon, they do! They reach Death Star! They rescue Princess Leia! Obi-Wan seems to have had it, as Darth Vader hits him. But the Empire still no get their Death Star plans!

The Rebel Alliance fights back! Death Star, she blows! And a new day dawns for our heroes!

Can this be a triumphant end in ‘Star Wars’? Oh no! We got more movies left, haven’t we?! Continue reading

Week 3 – ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’

Last time in ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’!!!

Padmé Amidala is now Senator of Naboo in ‘Attack of the Clones’?! But that’s odd, since she was the Queen in ‘The Phantom Menace’! Reunited with Anakin Skywalker, she is! Anakin is now 10 years older and Obi-Wan Kenobi’s apprentice. He’s in love with Padmé! But he can no-do, since he’s a Jedi!

Yoda is more CGI than usual in this film. But he can do a good lightsaber duel with Christopher Lee who played Dracula, Saruman or whatever! A clone army is built. Somehow the Jedi get the clone army to fight for them. Too much CGI to explain that part of the movie! 😀 Begun the clone war has!

Will the third ‘Star Wars’ prequel movie be considered a masterstroke by creator George Lucas?!

Well that depends! Does Anakin Skywalker look good in a long hair cut? I don’t think so! 😀 Continue reading

Week 2 – ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’

Last time in ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’!!!

OH NO! ‘The Phantom Menace’: considered by many to be one of the worst ‘Star Wars’ films ever?! That’s impossible! Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi rescue Queen Amidala of Naboo from a greedy trade federation. Queen Amidala gets confused on whether she’s the Queen or handmaiden Padmé! 😀

WHAT’S THIS?! On Tatooine, they meet Anakin Skywalker as a boy?! He can ride a good Podrace, but that could easily kill him! He’s not that annoying as Jar Jar Binks though, is he? BUT WAIT! Look out, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan! Darth Maul, who looks like the devil, fights you in a deadly lightsaber duel!!!

Will the second movie in the ‘Star Wars’ prequels be better than the first?!

Stay tuned! SAME ‘STAR WARS’ TIME, SAME ‘STAR WARS’ CHANNEL!!! Continue reading

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome to the ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’!

For the next six weeks, we’ll be looking into the first six movies of the ‘Star Wars’ saga to celebrate 40 years of the franchise. I’m more of a ‘Star Trek’ fan than a ‘Star Wars’ fan, but that doesn’t stop me from sharing why I enjoyed these movies so much and to find what’s good and bad about them. Continue reading
