Season 17 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Tom Baker on Blu-ray #3

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for the third story of Season 17 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with Tom Baker. Today, we take a look at ‘The Creature From The Pit’, a four-part adventure by David Fisher, starring Tom Baker and Lalla Ward, who are joined by K-9 (voiced by David Brierley). The story also features Myra Frances as Lady Adrasta, Geoffrey Bayldon as Organon and a peculiar alien creature called Erato. 😀 In terms of the story’s concepts and ideas, they’re very good. The overdose of humour and the execution of the titular ‘creature from the pit’ have a lot to be desired though. 😀 Continue reading

I’ve finished my reviews on Series 6 of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. I have enjoyed this season, though I don’t think its as good as previous seasons. Okay, no it isn’t. But I’ve added my two reviews on the two Christmas Specials of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ from 1983 and 1985 to my blog! These are the two final episodes that feature what I consider to be the golden era of ‘All Creatures’. As promised, here’s a new DVD review added to ‘The Works of Sarah Sutton’, attached to ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ page for Christmas 2016! It’s on the BBC TV movie of ‘Alice Through The Looking Glass’ starring Sarah Sutton as Alice.  It was shown on Christmas Day back in 1973.
