Well, I’ve seen the fourth ‘Thor’ film in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ – ‘Thor: Lovely and Thunderous’ ( 😀 ), starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman. In fact, I’ve seen this film twice at the cinema. I think this is a ‘Thor’ film that needs to be seen twice at the cinema to appreciate the story and characters. Continue reading

Well, I’ve seen ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’, the sequel to the 2020 film ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’. I’ve been looking forward to the sequel since seeing the first ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ movie two years ago. Over the Christmas holidays in 2021, I saw the Disney film ‘Zootropolis’ on BBC One. I didn’t see it from beginning to end, but I managed to see most of the film when I was having my lunch on the day it was shown on TV. I wanted to see ‘The Suicide Squad’, the new 2021 film by writer/director James Gunn at the cinema. Before I did that however, I decided to check out the original ‘Suicide Squad’ film which was made in 2016. This year, I saw the 2019 remake of ‘The Lion King’ in July. Whilst I don’t consider that to be better than the original cartoon film, I did enjoy it in some measure. Before that movie, the director Jon Favreau directed the 2016 remake of ‘The Jungle Book’. And I’m so pleased to say, I’ve at last seen it! Continue reading

And here we are on what is arguably considered to be the unusual ending for ‘Phase Three: Part One’ in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ movie series. This is ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, the third film in the ‘Thor’ trilogy so far as well as the last ‘MCU’ film that was shown in 2017.
