Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Having reviewed quite a number of Judy Garland films over the years, it only makes sense for me to review her earliest film appearance that may well be her film debut before she became famous in ‘The Wizard of Oz’. It’s time to take a look at ‘Pigskin Parade’, a 1936 musical comedy film about a game of American football, which incidentally is played in a snowstorm. 😀

The film is based on the musical number by Irving Berlin, who provides the songs, the score and the story here. I enjoyed watching ‘Alexander’s Ragtime Band’ during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 – please keep safe.

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This week, I saw a re-release of the 1939 film, ‘The Wizard of Oz’ starring Judy Garland, at Showcase Cinemas in Nantgarw, Cardiff. It was great to see the film on the big screen with my parents. My Dad certainly enjoyed it as this was his film and it was nice to see the audience rows decently filled in there.
