Well, we’ve finally reached the end of the ‘Transformers Film Review Season’!!!!!

And I’m happy to say we’re finishing on a high, as we come to what is arguably the best ‘Transformers’ film in the live-action film series. It’s time for ‘Bumblebee’ which was released in December 2018 and directed by Travis Knight. The film stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., John Ortiz, Jason Drucker and Pamela Adlon. Is this film still as good as I remember from watching it on the big screen in January 2019?

On the 18th of February 1952, the historic United States Coast Guard rescue of the crew of the SS Pendleton took place. On the 18th of February 2022, my parents and I watched ‘The Finest Hours’, a 2016 film that chronicled the event. It was surreal to watch the film on the event’s 70th anniversary.

Quick DVD review – ‘Sgt. Bilko’ (1996 film)

I’ve seen the second of three birthday presents from my best mate from school, Stephen.

‘Sgt. Bilko’ has been a very enjoyable comedy film starring Steve Martin as the main character. This film was made in 1996 and is based on the 1950s Amercian sitcom series ‘The Phil Silvers Show’ (also known as Sgt. Bilko). I knew what ‘Sgt. Bilko’ was about, having seen the original TV series before this.
