Quick DVD Review – ‘The Doctors: The Sylvester McCoy Years’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on the last ‘Myth Makers’ DVD that I had for my birthday this year! I’ve seen ‘The Doctors: The Sylvester McCoy Years’! This is an intriguing DVD. Unlike the William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton and Tom Baker ‘Myth Makers’ DVDs where it featured Doctors and companion interviews; this DVD has interviews with the Seventh Doctor, companions and certain guest stars. 😀 Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘The Doctors: The Tom Baker Years’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’m glad I got four ‘Doctors’ DVDs from the ‘Myth Makers’ series for my birthday this year from my parents. I’ve greatly enjoyed ‘The Doctors: The William Hartnell Years’, ‘The Doctors: The Pat Troughton Years’ and recently ‘The Doctors: The Tom Baker Years’. I hope soon I’ll get ‘The Doctors: The Peter Davison Years’ DVD later this year and hopefully more ‘Myth Maker’ interviews on DVD. 🙂 Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘The Doctors: The Pat Troughton Years’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

After enjoying ‘The Doctors: The William Hartnell Years’ DVD, I was looking forward to seeing the next ‘Myth Makers’ compilation DVD I had for my birthday this year. I’ve now seen ‘The Doctors: The Pat Troughton Years’! Or should it be ‘The Doctors: The Patrick Troughton Years’? Same thing, I suppose. Anyway, I had a good time watching this 2-disc DVD that featured interviews with the stars. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘The Doctors: The William Hartnell Years’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

As I’m currently not going to conventions because of the coronavirus pandemic and with the UK being in lockdown – please keep safe – I’m grateful to my parents that I had four ‘Myth Makers’ DVD compilations of ‘Doctor Who’ interviews for my birthday back in May. They’re a close thing to be at a convention. They may have been done in the 1980s and the 1990s, but they’re enjoyable to watch. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Wartime Chronicles’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve seen the second of two birthday presents given to me by my best mate from school Stephen this year. And it’s a ‘Doctor Who’-related item. I thought it was very thoughtful of Stephen to give me this since he knows about my love for ‘Doctor Who’ in general. I am glad I’ve seen ‘Wartime’ at last! Continue reading

Christmas DVD review – ‘Mindgame Saga’

Hello everyone! 🙂

I’ve now seen the ‘Mindgame Saga’ on DVD! This is a DVD I had for Christmas this year and it contains two stories including ‘Mindgame’ and ‘Mindgame Trilogy’. This saga stars Sophie Aldred (who plays Ace in ‘Doctor Who’) as a human space pilot and there’s also a Sontaran and a Draconian! Continue reading

New Reviews For ‘The Works of Sarah Sutton’

Hello everyone! 🙂

I’ve added two new reviews to ‘The Works of Sarah Sutton’, attached to ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ page. ‘The Works of Sarah Sutton’ is where I post reviews on non-‘Doctor Who’-related works that star Sarah Sutton, both on TV and audio. These are two reviews on products I purchased from Galaxy 4. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

I’ve seen two birthday presents I had from my parents last month in May!

These are two DVDs focusing on the famous (or infamous) two-day ‘Doctor Who’ convention held in Longleat in April 1983 to celebrate 20 years of the show. Those of you who remember Longleat in 1983 will know what the convention was like and that it was a crowded event with a lot of things going on. Continue reading

Quick DVD review – ‘Downtime’

Hello everyone! 🙂

This is one present I had for Christmas!

I enjoyed watching ‘Downtime’ on DVD. It’s an exciting drama starring Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith; Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier and Deborah Watling as Victoria Waterfield. I’m not sure I fully understand the plot, but it was exciting as I wanted to see this and I’m glad that this is on DVD. Continue reading
