“Merry Christmas Sarah Sutton!”

For Christmas Day this year, I’m sharing individual reviews on the seven items featured in ‘The Doctors: The Peter Davison Years’ DVD compilation. This was released in 2020 and has seven ‘Myth Makers’ items by Reeltime Pictures, focusing on the stars who have appeared in the Fifth Doctor era of ‘Doctor Who’. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Lockdown: The Doctor Who Fans’ Survival Guide’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here’s another Christmas present I had in 2021. 2020 was not a happy year. Many of us were thrown into a global pandemic and we still have to abide by government guidelines to protect ourselves from Covid-19 – please keep safe. But we did a lot to keep ourselves sane and occupied. 🙂 Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

“Happy Birthday Sarah!”

To celebrate Sarah Sutton (Nyssa)’s birthday today, I’m sharing my reviews on two Reeltime Pictures productions connected to ‘Doctor Who’. In 2014, I purchased the ‘An Englishman on Gallifrey’/’The Home Whovian’ DVD, which contains two special documentaries looking into how ‘Doctor Who’ works in America. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Myth Makers: Christopher Bidmead’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I decided to treat myself to another ‘Myth Makers’ DVD in the wake of my birthday recently. Because I’ve been revisiting Seasons 18 and 19 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray lately, I purchased the ‘Myth Makers’ DVD for Christopher H. Bidmead, the show’s script editor for Season 18 in the 1980s. Continue reading

Quick Blu-ray Review – ‘Sil and the Devil Seeds of Arodor’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And I’d like to pay tribute to a ‘Doctor Who’ writer who has contributed to the classic TV show significantly – Philip Martin. Sadly, we lost Philip Martin in December 2020. He wrote two enjoyable TV stories such as ‘Vengeance on Varos’ and the ‘Mindwarp’ segment of ‘The Trial of a Time Lord’. 🙂 Continue reading

To celebrate 11 years of meeting Sarah Sutton at conventions (the first time I met her was at ‘Fifth Element’ in February 2020), I’ve updated my reviews on the ‘Myth Makers’ interviews featuring Sarah Sutton and Peter Grimwade respectively by giving them each their own individual review pages. Continue reading

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

After checking out the William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann DVD compilations of ‘Myth Makers’ interviews, it’s only fair I check out another ‘Myth Makers’ interview with another Doctor. This time, with Trevor Martin! Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘The Doctors: The Paul McGann Years’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on the last set of ‘Myth Makers’ interviews compilation DVDs that I had for Christmas 2020. This time, it’s ‘The Doctors: The Paul McGann Years’! It’s unusual as Paul McGann had a short TV tenure playing the Eighth Doctor with doing ‘The TV Movie’ in 1996. But of course, a lot has happened since then as Paul has done plenty of Big Finish audios and did ‘The Night of the Doctor’. 🙂 Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘The Doctors: The Colin Baker Years’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

After enjoying ‘The Doctors: The Peter Davison Years’ DVD recently, it was time to delve into the Sixth Doctor era next with ‘The Doctors: The Colin Baker Years’ DVD. I was looking forward to uncovering the insights made by the people who were involved in the Sixth Doctor era on TV, both on-screen and behind-the-scenes. It was a fascinating DVD release covering a pretty turbulent TV era. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This is a ‘Myth Makers’ DVD compilation I’ve been looking forward to very much. This is ‘The Doctors: The Peter Davison Years’. The Fifth Doctor era of ‘Doctor Who’ is my favourite. You can tell from my ‘Fifth Doctor’ series of stories starring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy as well as my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ reviews on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. I’ve also met a lot of the stars from the Fifth Doctor era! Continue reading
