Here we are on the second story of Season 14 in the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, and it’s here we say goodbye to Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith. It’s time for ‘The Hand of Fear’, a four-part adventure by Bob Baker and Dave Martin. As well as Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor and Lis Sladen as Sarah Jane, the story also introduces us to Eldrad, played by Judith Paris and Stephen Thorne. ‘The Hand of Fear’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox.

It’s time for us to return to Peladon, as we take a look at the second of the ‘Peladon Tales’ in ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘The Monster of Peladon’. This is a six-part adventure, starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith. This story also features the Ice Warriors as well as Alpha Centauri. Does ‘The Monster of Peladon’ match well to how I’ve enjoyed ‘The Curse of Peladon’? This six-part adventure can be checked out on DVD and Britbox.

It’s Season 10 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. The 10th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’! 🙂 Today, we take a look at ‘The Three Doctors’, the first ‘Doctor Who’ story to feature more than one Doctor. As well as Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, we have the return of Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor and William Hartnell as the First Doctor. There’s also Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. The four-part story also features Stephen Thorne as Omega. ‘The Three Doctors’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox.

It’s time to talk about the first of the Peladon stories in ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘The Curse of Peladon’. This four-part story has Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Katy Manning as Jo Grant visiting the planet Peladon, where they encounter Ice Warriors, Alpha Centauri and David Troughton as King Peladon. 😀 ‘The Curse of Peladon’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox. The story will soon be re-released in the Season 9 Blu-ray box set, so watch out for that. 😀

As part of ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ tomorrow, I’ve posted my latest ‘Doctor Who’ DVD review on ‘The Hand of Fear’ starring Tom Baker as the Doctor and Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith. This story features the final appearance of Sarah Jane Smith as a companion in ‘Doctor Who’ and also features the first appearance of the villainous Eldrad who ‘must live’ apparently! 😀
