We come to the end of ‘The Black Guardian Trilogy’ in Season 20 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, as we look at the third and final story called ‘Enlightenment’. This is a four-part adventure by Barbara Clegg, starring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Janet Fielding as Tegan and Mark Strickson as Turlough. As well as Valentine Dyall as the Black Guardian, this story also features the return of Cyril Luckham as the White Guardian. There’s also the introduction of the Eternals, including Keith Barron as Captain Striker and Lynda Baron as Captain Wrack. ‘Enlightenment’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox.

This has been a treat of a ‘Doctor Who’ book to review. 🙂

This is what I got my Mum for Christmas in 2019. I got her the complete series of ‘The Mrs. Bradley Mysteries’ starring Diana Rigg of ‘The Avengers’ fame and Neil Dudgeon. My parents and I enjoyed this crime investigation drama series set in the 1920s. It had good old-fashioned murder mysteries. 🙂

Matt Smith’s Doctor reunites with James Corden as Craig in this ‘Doctor Who’ episode called ‘Closing Time’ by Gareth Roberts. In this episode, Craig is now a father and his baby is called Alfie (or ‘Stormageddon’). The episode also features the return of the Cybermen as well as a scary Cybermat.
