This year’s ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season continues as we look into ‘The Target Storybook’ of ‘Doctor Who’. This is a collection of 15 short stories, which are ‘thrilling new adventures’ by writers and actors from the hit BBC TV series. This was a very fascinating and enjoyable collection of ‘Doctor Who’ short stories to read through.

It’s time for the return of a classic ‘Doctor Who’ writer to the new TV series. Rona Munro, who wrote the last story of the classic series called ‘Survival’ with Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred, returns to write ‘The Eaters of Light’ with Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie and Matt Lucas. Is this as good as ‘Survival’ though?

This ‘Doctor Who’ episode features the return of the Ice Warriors with Peter Capaldi’s Doctor. This is one of my favourite episodes from Series 10. The episode is by Mark Gatiss. It’s interesting how it features the Ice Empress and provides quite an intriguing back-story to the Ice Warriors as Martians.

Will she get the Doctor back and will Michelle Gomez as Missy agree to help this situation?

I recall being really frustrated with this episode at the time I saw it on TV. My thoughts are more or less the same in my current review for it, though I have gained clarity on the episode.

This is what I consider to be a muddled trilogy of episodes in ‘Doctor Who’. The episode has the Doctor, Bill and Nardole discovering the Veritas at the Vatican, Italy where they also meet the alien Monks.

But the Doctor risks his life to save Bill that causes him to go blind. Will the Doctor gain his sight back and will things be clearer towards the end of the episode? 😀
