It’s time for the second story of Season 7 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series! 🙂 Today, we’re looking at ‘Doctor Who and the Silurians’, a seven-part adventure, starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Caroline John as Liz Shaw and Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier. In this story, we begin the ‘Beneath the Surface’ saga where the Third Doctor encounters the Silurians in some caves in England. ‘Doctor Who and the Silurians’ can be checked out on DVD as well as on Britbox.

We come now to what I consider to be the weakest story in Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘Timelash’. It’s been nice to revisit this ‘Doctor Who’ story in the Season 22 Blu-ray box set, featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. They’re joined by Paul Darrow (of ‘Blake’s 7’ fame) as the villainous Tekker and the TARDIS duo also confront the monstrous Borad, played by Robert Ashby.

It’s time to check out the eighth and final story of this season of Big Finish audios called ‘The Next Life’, starring Paul McGann as the Doctor, India Fisher as Charley and Conrad Westmaas as C’rizz. The story also features special guest stars Daphne Ashbrook as Perfection, Paul Darrow as Guidance and Don Warrington as Rassilon. At last! I’ve finished seeing all of ‘Blake’s 7’ on DVD! It’s taken me a while to see all of ‘Blake’s 7’, but I’m happy to say I saw the final episode before the last day of October 2019. ‘Blake’s 7’ has been an enjoyable Sci-Fi series indeed. It has had its ups and downs, but overall it’s been pretty entertaining.

I have taken my time with these seasons, but I’m glad I managed to watch all 13 episodes of Series 3 and I’m looking forward to watching Series 4 next. Series 3 of ‘Blake’s 7’ has been an intriguing and unusual season for me to sit through.

Lately we’ve had the sad loss of Paul Darrow who passed away this week. As well as giving a tribute to Paul Darrow, I’ve also decided to give a tribute to Gareth Thomas and Jacqueline Pearce who have also passed away recently. These three actors are well-known for featuring in the TV series ‘Blake’s 7’.

Yeah it’s taken me a while to get to review Series 2 of ‘Blake’s 7’. I haven’t watched these episodes as quickly as I did with Series 1. But that’s due to me being busy this year. Thankfully I’ve been able to see all of Series 2 of ‘Blake’s 7’. Thus I can give my general thoughts on what I think of the season.

At last! I have seen the sci-fi TV show that many people have talked about but I’d never seen before until now! It’s the cult TV show made in the late 1970s/early 1980s alongside ‘Doctor Who’ – ‘Blake’s 7’! I had Series 1 of ‘Blake’s 7’ on DVD as the surprise Christmas present from my parents!
