Here we are on the final story of Season 6 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series and the final story of the Patrick Troughton era. This is ‘The War Games’, a ten-part epic adventure, starring Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie and Wendy Padbury as Zoe. ‘The War Games’ can be checked out on DVD and via Britbox. It’s time to check out the first ‘Doctor Who’ story in the classic TV series to be written by Robert Holmes. This is ‘The Krotons’, a four-part adventure starring Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie and Wendy Padbury as Zoe, where they visit the planet of the Gonds and they confront the crystalline-like aliens, the Krotons. You can watch ‘The Krotons’ either on DVD or on Britbox.

The 2019 remake of the three lost ‘Dad’s Army’ episodes from Series 2 were broadcast in August this year. I was pretty excited by this! Sadly I haven’t seen the remade lost episodes of ‘Dad’s Army’ since I don’t have the GOLD channel on my TV. Hopefully, the 2019 remake of the lost ‘Dad’s Army’ episodes will be on DVD soon. In the meantime, I’ve recently completed my reviews on Series 3 of the ‘Dad’s Army’ radio series.

It’s time to celebrate the Sixth Doctor era in the 55th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’ this month! Colin Baker’s era of ‘Doctor Who’ had a turbulent time on TV in the 1980s. But he’s been treated well with plenty of audio adventures by Big Finish. I have met Colin Baker at conventions as well as Nicola Bryant.
