It’s time for the second story in Season 11 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series called ‘Invasion of the Dinosaurs’, starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor and Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith. This six-part adventure also features Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates (this story sees a character change in Mike) and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. And welcome to Season 11 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series! 🙂 This is Jon Pertwee’s fifth and final season as the Third Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’. We start off with ‘The Time Warrior’, a four-part story by Robert Holmes. This story is significant for two major things. Firstly, it introduces us to Elisabeth Sladen as new companion Sarah Jane Smith. After swimming through Season 7, it’s time to check out Season 8 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. The first story of Season 8 is ‘Terror of the Autons’, where Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor confronts the Autons and the Nestene Consciousness again. He meets Katy Manning as Jo Grant, his new companion, and he also meets his archenemy, Roger Delgado as the Master. As well as Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier and John Levene as Sergeant Benton, U.N.I.T. is joined by Richard Franklin as Captain Mike Yates. And welcome to Season 7 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series! 🙂 It’s the first season of the 1970s, the first season to be shown in colour on TV, and it’s the first season to feature Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor. We start off Season 7 by taking a look at the four-part adventure ‘Spearhead From Space’. This story also features the return of Nicholas Courtney as Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and U.N.I.T. This story also introduces Caroline John as Liz Shaw as well as the monstrous Autons and the Nestene Consciousness. ‘Spearhead From Space’ can be checked out on DVD and Blu-ray as well as on Britbox. It’s also considered one of the worst ‘Doctor Who’ stories ever made, starring Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie and Wendy Padbury as Zoe. ‘The Space Pirates’ can be checked out on audio CD or as a download via Audible. ‘Episode Two’ of the story can be seen in the ‘Lost In Time’ DVD collection as well as on Britbox.
