We’ve come to the end of Season 11 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series as well as the end of the Jon Pertwee era. Season 11 concludes in the six-part adventure called ‘Planet of the Spiders’. As well as Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, this story also features Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. There are also giant spiders featured in this story. Is one of them Shelob from ‘The Lord of the Rings’? 😀 ‘Planet of the Spiders’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox.

It’s time for Season 10 to come to an end. This is also where we say goodbye to the lovely Katy Manning as the equally lovely Jo Grant, as she makes her last regular appearance in the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. This is ‘The Green Death’, a six-part adventure. As well as Katy Manning as Jo, there’s also Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. ‘The Green Death’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox.

We’ve come to the end of Season 9 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. And we get to go to Atlantis…again. Um, didn’t we visit Atlantis in ‘The Underwater Menace’? 😀 Anyway, this is ‘The Time Monster’, a six-part adventure starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. Roger Delgado also makes another return as the Master in this ‘Doctor Who’ adventure. ‘The Time Monster’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox. The story will soon be re-released in the Season 9 Blu-ray box set, so watch out for that. 😀

It’s time to close off Season 8 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series by taking a look at the five-part adventure ‘The Dæmons’. This happens to be a favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story among the fans. It stars Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates, John Levene as Sergeant Benton and Roger Delgado as the Master. Is this one of my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stories though? 😀 ‘The Dæmons’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox.
