Just in case you missed it yesterday, I’ve read and heard the novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Survival’ by Rona Munro, featuring the Seventh Doctor and Ace. I’m happy I’ve read/heard the novelization/audiobook of this story. ‘Survival’ is read by Lisa Bowerman who played Karra in the TV story as well as Bernice Summerfield in the Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’! 🙂

And now we’ve come to the fourth and final story of Season 26 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray! This is one of my favourite stories with Sylvester McCoy’s Doctor and Sophie Aldred’s Ace. It’s time for ‘Survival’, the first ‘Doctor Who’ story by Rona Munro before she wrote ‘The Eaters of Light’ with Peter Capaldi. It was also sadly the last TV story to be featured in the classic series of ‘Doctor Who’.

I was happy to get the ‘Doctor Who – The Collection’ DVD from the 40th anniversary issue of ‘Doctor Who Magazine’ back in October 2019! It was worth getting and a joy! It had ‘Doctor Who’ DVD/Blu-ray special features with Sarah Sutton, my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ companion and best friend at conventions, in them.

It’s time for the return of a classic ‘Doctor Who’ writer to the new TV series. Rona Munro, who wrote the last story of the classic series called ‘Survival’ with Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred, returns to write ‘The Eaters of Light’ with Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie and Matt Lucas. Is this as good as ‘Survival’ though?
