‘The Doctor Who Cookbook’ Reviews

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s the 60th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’, so why not? 😀 To commemorate the day that I first met Sarah Sutton at the ‘Fifth Element’ event back in February 2010, I’ve decided to review ‘The Doctor Who Cookbook’ by Gary Downie, which was originally published back in 1985. This has been a treat of a ‘Doctor Who’ book to review. 🙂 Continue reading

Here’s a brand-new bonus ‘Doctor Who’ review by me to close off the William Hartnell/First Doctor era in the 60th Anniversary Marathon on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. It’s also my first Big Finish audio review to share in 2023. It’s time for ‘The Beginning’, the first of ‘The Quadrigger Stoyn Trilogy’ of ‘Doctor Who’ audios by Big Finish. Continue reading

Convention Memories – ‘Timeless Collectors’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to share the last set of ‘convention memories’ I have for 2014. This was a special treat for me, as I got to attend a little convention, also called a sci-fi fair, in Fareham in December 2014 run by the organiser called ‘Timeless Collectors’. I got to see Sarah Sutton before Christmas that year, which was very exciting. 🙂 Continue reading

Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Colin Baker on Blu-ray #5

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We come now to what I consider to be the weakest story in Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘Timelash’. It’s been nice to revisit this ‘Doctor Who’ story in the Season 22 Blu-ray box set, featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. They’re joined by Paul Darrow (of ‘Blake’s 7’ fame) as the villainous Tekker and the TARDIS duo also confront the monstrous Borad, played by Robert Ashby. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to talk about my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story from the Colin Baker era. It was also the first story for me to experience Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. We continue our look into Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with ‘The Two Doctors’, a multi-Doctor story featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor. There’s also Frazer Hines as Jamie who accompanies Patrick Troughton’s Doctor as well as Nicola Bryant as Peri who accompanies Colin Baker’s Doctor. Continue reading

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to continue checking out Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with Colin Baker, as we look into the second TV story of the season called ‘Vengeance on Varos’. This is the first ‘Doctor Who’ story by writer Philip Martin and it introduces the character of Sil, played by Nabil Shaban. This ‘Doctor Who’ story has divided opinion on whether it’s nice or whether it’s nasty. 😀 Continue reading

This week, it’s time to check out the six stories featured in Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Colin Baker, which has recently been released in a lavish new Blu-ray box set. This was an exciting convention weekend that occurred at the Playhouse theatre in Weston-super-Mare. Continue reading
