‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Time-Flight’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on the season finale of Season 19 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. It’s time to check out ‘Time-Flight’, a four-part story by Peter Grimwade. The story stars Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa and Janet Fielding as Tegan. The TARDIS trio help to save a missing Concorde plane by going back in time to the prehistoric age on Earth. Janet Fielding as Tegan also makes her first departure from the series. This ‘Doctor Who’ story is considered one of the worst stories ever made in the entire series. Do I agree with that? ‘Time-Flight’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray or Britbox. Continue reading

This is also a season with its own behind-the-scenes issues. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Season 14 is Tom Baker’s third season as the Fourth Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’. It’s arguably one of his best seasons in the entire show. It’s also Philip Hinchcliffe’s final season as producer and it’s Robert Holmes’ last full season as script-editor, although he did script-edit some of the stories in Season 15. Continue reading

The third story of Season 14 in the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series and Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor is travelling solo this time. It’s time for ‘The Deadly Assassin’, a four-part story by Robert Holmes where the Doctor returns to Gallifrey and faces the Master again. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Season 10 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

In hindsight, Season 10 may not have celebrated every aspect of ‘Doctor Who’ at that point compared to Season 20 and ‘The Five Doctors’ for the 20th anniversary. In terms of celebrating the show’s 10th anniversary however, it did so rather well in style with the very first story of the season. Continue reading
