I think it’s fair to say that Season 2 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series is my favourite out of the three seasons William Hartnell did as the First Doctor. Whilst it’s sad that Susan left the series with two stories in, including ‘Planet of Giants’ and ‘The Dalek Invasion of Earth’, the series became more inventive.

There are times when you come across a ‘Doctor Who’ novelization of one of your favourite stories and you hope that it’s going to be better than you expected when you read it. Unfortunately for this occasion, the ‘Doctor Who’ novelization I reviewed today turned out to be not quite what I hoped for.
