I think it’s fair to say that Season 2 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series is my favourite out of the three seasons William Hartnell did as the First Doctor. Whilst it’s sad that Susan left the series with two stories in, including ‘Planet of Giants’ and ‘The Dalek Invasion of Earth’, the series became more inventive.

In this ‘Doctor Who’ adventure, the First Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Vicki end up on the planet Vortis. There, the moth-like Menoptra and the ant-like Zarbi rage war with each other.
