It was the first one of the 1980s, the first one under producer John Nathan-Turner’s reign, and it was seventh and final season of Tom Baker’s era as the Fourth Doctor. This is also a season with its own behind-the-scenes issues.

We’ve come to the end of ‘The E-Space Trilogy’, but not the end of Season 18 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. It’s time for ‘Warriors’ Gate’, a four-part adventure by Stephen Gallagher, starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, Lalla Ward as Romana, K-9, voiced by John Leeson, and Matthew Waterhouse as Adric. This is quite an unusual and mind-boggling story to check out in Season 18. Does it end ‘The E-Space Trilogy’ on a satisfying conclusion? This story also features the departure of Lalla Ward as Romana and K-9 Mark II. ‘Warriors’ Gate’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox.

Having recently checked out the Target novelization/audiobook of ‘Meglos’, I’d like to share my reviews on the Target novelizations/audiobooks featured in Season 18 of ‘Doctor Who’. I’m pleased all the audiobook versions of the Season 18 Target novelizations have been made. Hopefully the same will be done for Season 19 with the remaining novelization of ‘Kinda’ to be made as an audiobook.

Just in case you’ve missed it today, I’ve added my review on the brand-new ‘Doctor Who – Warriors’ Gate’ audiobook novelization on the TV story by Stephen Gallagher writing as John Lydecker. ‘Warriors’ Gate’ is the third story in ‘The E-Space Trilogy’ of ‘Doctor Who’ and features the Fourth Doctor, Romana, K-9 and Adric. The audiobook is read by Jon Culshaw with John Leeson as the voice of K-9.

We’ve come to the end of ‘The E-Space Trilogy’ in Season 18 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray! The last story in the trilogy is ‘Warriors’ Gate’ and it is the fifth in Season 18. The story features Tom Baker as the Doctor, Lalla Ward as Romana, Matthew Waterhouse as Adric and K-9 voiced by John Leeson.

I’ve now added my review on ‘Doctor Who and Warriors’ Gate’, the novelization on the TV story by John Lydecker, a pseudonym for Steve Gallagher. ‘Warriors’ Gate’ is the third story in ‘The E-Space Trilogy’. It features the Fourth Doctor, Romana, K-9 and Adric. Would this novelization be an improvement on the TV story after watching it on DVD.
