Hello everyone! 🙂
It’s Day 20 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2016.
What do Ringo Starr of ‘The Beatles’ and composers Mike O’Donnell and Junior Campbell have in common?

Sadly the YouTube video is unavailable due to copyright grounds. This is a temporary image.
‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ of course! I loved watching the original ‘Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends’ TV series with Ringo Starr reading the stories. I also loved playing with my ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ train toys when I was a kid. I have such fond happy memories of my childhood from the 90s.
Today’s video is an instrumental episode of one of the ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ episodes from 1984 called ‘Thomas and the Guard’. Essentially this is a video featuring the incidental music of that episode by composers Mike O’Donnell and Junior Campbell, re-created by Sudrian Afro on YouTube.
Sudrian Afro is clearly a Thomas fan and has done some wonderful recreations of the original musical scores of the original ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ episodes from the 1980s TV series. I’ve enjoyed watching these instrumental videos by Sudrian Afro whilst revisiting the Thomas fan in me.
I’ve chosen the ‘Thomas and the Guard’ instrumental video for today, as it is a good example out of the many instrumental videos made by Sudrian Afro. There are also videos featuring various musical themes from the ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ series from Series 1 and Series 2 created by Sudrian Afro.
I recommend checking out Sudrian Afro’s YouTube channel featuring these terrific videos on musical scores of the original ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ series. If you saw Thomas on TV or VHS or played with Thomas train toys as a kid, I’m sure you’ll enjoy these videos as they respect the original series.
Thanks for watching and reading!
