At last! I’ve finished reviewing the original ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ TV series, starring Robert Hardy, Christopher Timothy, Peter Davison and Lynda Bellingham. I’ve just reviewed Series 7 as well as the 1990 Christmas Special called ‘Brotherly Love’. It hasn’t been a great season, but I enjoyed it. 🙂

I like the Fantastic Four as a Marvel superhero team. I enjoyed reading the 1960s comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby; have enjoyed seeing episodes of their 1990s TV show and love the 2005/2007 movies starring the Fantastic Four. I know not many people will agree with me on that front regarding the 2005/2007 films, but I consider them to be very decent movie adaptations of those 1960s comics. 😀

We’ve come to the end of Series 9 of ‘Call the Midwife’! I’ve enjoyed this season very much this year. It’s been emotionally packed with lots of character drama and intriguing stories involving births of babies and such. The season finale seems to guarantee ‘Call the Midwife’ a future, but for a short while.

I’ve read and heard the novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Revelation of the Daleks’ by Eric Saward, featuring the Sixth Doctor and Peri. I’m glad I’ve now read/heard the novelizations/audiobooks for this story and ‘Resurrection of the Daleks’. ‘Revelation’ is read by Terry Molloy who played Davros in the TV story with Nicholas Briggs providing the voices of the Daleks in this! 🙂

So, after all the variety we’ve had in Series 12 and the mixed feelings I’ve had about each episode so far, it’s time for the season finale ‘Ascension of the Cybermen’/’The Timeless Children’ by Chris Chibnall. I’ve been looking forward to this two-part finale, especially since the Cybermen appear in it!

I’ve seen and reviewed ‘Dad’s Army: The Lost Episodes’ on DVD/Blu-ray! These are 2019 recreations of three missing episodes from Series 2 of the ‘Dad’s Army’ TV series including ‘The Loneliness of the Long Distance Walker’, ‘A Stripe For Frazer’ and ‘Under Fire’. They’re recreations based on the original scripts by Jimmy Perry and David Croft and feature a new cast playing the ‘Dad’s Army’ characters.

Just thought I’d let you know, I’ve been cooking meals for my parents and me lately. Two weeks ago, I cooked a lasagne based on a recipe by Sarah Sutton in ‘The Doctor Who Cookbook’ I had for Christmas 2019. Last week, I cooked spaghetti bolognese. I do enjoy cooking for my parents and me.

The latest ‘Call the Midwife’ episode was a happier experience compared to the previous one. There was emotional drama going on, especially concerning character arcs and a certain married couple with a baby. But I enjoyed the seventh episode of Series 9 of ‘Call the Midwife’ very much as it was gripping.

(sighs) ‘The Haunting of Villa Diodati’! Here we go. First things first, I appreciate there are people out there who really like this episode. Because…yeah. This was a well-directed and decently-paced ‘Doctor Who’ episode with a creepy, spooky atmosphere thrown in for good measure. You would expect that.
