Day 10 – ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2018

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s Day 10 of ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar 2018.

So what photo memory have we got today? I hope this one is in the daytime!

Ah! I remember this one! I took quite a number of photos of a trip I made into Cardiff one particular day in December 2008. Don’t know why I went into Cardiff. I have it in my mind that I had to go into Cardiff University for some reason to catch up on some work I was doing for my degree at the time.

What work that was, I can’t recall. Anyway, I wanted to take some shots of landmarks in Cardiff. This included the ‘big wheel’ in the Winter Wonderland that happens in Cardiff every year around Christmas time. I also took shots of the Cardiff Museum from the outside and the stone monuments.

It was pretty cold that day as I had to dress myself up warm for the occasion. I recall I went into Cardiff twice for two days in the same week. The next day was more exciting than the first day, but that’s for another time. I’m pleased to be living in Cardiff as it’s a place I have grown up in all my life.

I’m especially pleased that ‘Doctor Who’ gets filmed in Cardiff. The Russell T. Davies era of ‘Doctor Who’ was still happening at the time in 2008 and it’s one of my happiest periods as a fan. ‘Doctor Who’ has been filmed in Cardiff for the Steven Moffat and Chris Chibnall eras, but it’s not the same.

I recommend checking out Cardiff for a day trip visit especially at Christmas. I took two photo shots of the ‘big wheel’ in the Winter Wonderland in Cardiff. One was at day time and one was at night. I chose the day time photo for this occasion, as I want to talk about Winter Wonderland another time.

Thanks for reading!

Check out what my Day 10 of my ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar for 2015, 2016 and 2017 were about!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
