Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
And here we are again with another review on a ‘Muppets Now’ episode! I enjoyed the second episode of ‘Muppets Now’ called ‘Fever Pitch’. My parents and I watched it on Disney+ whilst we were having our meal of spaghetti bolognese which I cooked myself. It was a very nice meal to have.
In ‘Fever Pitch’, Scooter has to deal with Fozzie Bear bombarding him with pitches on what he can do to star in ‘Muppets Now’. Scooter is trying to get the segments for this particular episode up online in time. It was funny when Scooter got interrupted by Fozzie this time as opposed to Kermit the Frog. 🙂
In fact, Kermit doesn’t make much of an appearance in this episode. I mean, he does in ‘a note from Kermit the Frog (and Joe from Legal)’, but that’s about it. Maybe it was Kermit’s day off for this episode. Mind you, not every Muppet has made an appearance in this show so far as far as I can see.
The main segments of this ‘Muppets Now’ episode include ‘Pepe’s Unbelievable Game Show’. I can’t say I’ve been a huge fan of Pepe as a Muppet character, but I greatly enjoyed his show where he got Scooter crazy with his made-up rules and gets help from Beauregard, Carol, Gonzo and his chickens.
We have the Swedish Chef back again in ‘Økėÿ Døkęÿ Køøkïñ’ where he competes up against Danny Trejo – wait! Machete?! From the ‘Spy Kids’ movies?! Wow! I was amazed to see him in this ‘Muppets Now’ episode. And it was very amusing to see how the Swedish Chef and Danny made taco! 😀
Incidentally, ‘Økėÿ Døkęÿ Køøkïñ’ is hosted by the turkey Beverly Plume. I’m surprised the Swedish Chef hasn’t used her in his cooking yet. 😀 I hope he won’t cook her for Christmas dinner, like he tried to do to that turkey in ‘A Muppet Family Christmas’. I must try and watch that this Christmas. 🙂 By the way, the Swedish Chef gets red hands when he’s using really hot peppers. Ouch! They must be hot!
This episode also has Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker together in their show ‘Muppet Lab Field Tests’. Honeydew experiments with melting and burning with his new high-tech assistant Beak-R. Beaker becomes jealous with Beak-R and ends up destroying the contraption in the process. Hehe! 🙂
And of course we have Miss Piggy in her ‘Lifesty(le) with Miss Piggy’ show where she discusses health with Uncle Deadly, Bobo the Bear, Yolanda Rat, Bubba the Rat, Camilla the Chicken, Taye Diggs and Linda Cardellini. I guess Taye Diggs and Linda Cardenllini are Miss Piggy’s regular guests. 😀
I’m pretty sure Bubba the Rat has been in the Muppets movie called ‘Muppets From Space’. Still got that on DVD, I believe. I hope to see 2011’s ‘Muppets’ movie again sometime soon by the way. Incidentally, Miss Piggy is so funny when it comes to health tips, even though she struggles to get fits at times. 😀
A shame we didn’t have ‘Muppets Masters’ with Walter for this episode like we had in the show’s first episode. We also didn’t have ‘Mup Close and Personal’ with Kermit. I wonder if we’ll get to have those shows for the third episode. It might not be Kermit interviewing the special guest next time.
Overall, I enjoyed the second ‘Muppets Now’ episode. I look forward to seeing the Muppets each week when viewing them on Disney+. It gives me a sense of relaxation and it’s a diversion from the outside world and the turmoil that’s going on. I know only six episodes for ‘Muppets Now’ have been made, but I hope more will be made. I might check out the other ‘Muppets’ shows on Disney+ soon.
Stay tuned for my review on the next ‘Muppets Now’ episode ‘Getting Testy’ next week!
Thanks for reading!
Bye for now!
