Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
And welcome to the third instalment of this year’s ‘Judy Garland Film Review Season’!
It’s time to take a look at a film featuring Judy Garland which was made in 1950. This film is called ‘Summer Stock’ and it has her pairing up with Gene Kelly, who is well-known for starring in the 1952 film ‘Singin’ in the Rain’. Judy and Gene worked together before in the 1942 film called ‘For Me and My Gal’.
‘Summer Stock’ also features Eddie Bracken, Gloria De Haven, Marjorie Main, Phil Silvers and Ray Collins. I first saw this film at my Nana’s house in the 2000s. I enjoyed the film when I first saw it featuring Judy Garland and Gene Kelly and I still enjoy it on DVD today. Is it really a good ‘feel good’ film as I imply?
Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my review for ‘Summer Stock’ by clicking on the link for it.
Enjoy!
Bye for now!
Tim. 🙂
