DVD Review – ‘Gaslight’ (1944)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve done a new review on a movie I’ve seen recently. This is the 1944 film ‘Gaslight’, starring Charles Boyer, Ingrid Bergman and Joseph Cotton. This film is based upon the 1938 play by Patrick Hamilton. I’ve seen a 2017 theatre production of the play and it was quite different compared to seeing the 1944 film.

The film also features Dame May Whitty, Angela Lansbury and Barbara Everest. I’m not sure if this film gets talked about a lot nowadays, but I’m sure that whenever people talk about ‘Gaslight’, they refer to the 1944 film more than the original 1938 play. Is the 1944 film worth pursuing or is it a film of its time?

Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my review for 1944’s ‘Gaslight’ by clicking on the link for it.

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂
