Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
I can now share details about my upcoming ‘Doctor Who’ series of Short Trips on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ called ‘The Sunfire Chronicles’. This is a collection of four short stories linked by a particular theme. I’m hoping to share ‘The Sunfire Chronicles’ soon on my blog in the middle of 2024. 🙂
Originally, I planned to share ‘The Sunfire Chronicles’ as my ‘Bradley’s Basement’s Advent Calendar in December 2023. Sadly, that didn’t happen due to the busyness of 2023 with the ‘Doctor Who’ 60th anniversary celebrations and everything else. Instead, I shared a very different story called ‘And There Were Seven’.
‘The Sunfire Chronicles’ is essentially the story of a dazzlingly beautiful gold-haired woman called Becceri (played by Grace Kelly), who’s on the run from a Sontaran head-hunter with horns on his head called Wulfe. Becceri encounters three incarnations of the Doctor across the four chronicles.
The four stories include ‘The Horns of Wulfe’, featuring the Fourth Doctor, Private James Darby and Bazoon ‘Bazooie’ the Miggie; ‘Romance and the Cow Creamer’, featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy Walker; ‘The Race of Endurance’, featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan Jovanka and Michael Anderson; and ‘Quasar of Sarfenia’, featuring the Sixth Doctor, Peri Brown and Frobisher.

‘The Sunfire Chronicles’ came as a result from collaborating with fellow ‘Doctor Who’ fans, writers and creators who have helped me to put this series of short stories together. There’s Timelord007, who co-created and plays James Darby in my ‘Doctor Who’ stories featuring the Fourth Doctor. James Darby has been in ‘City of Monsters’, ‘The Dimension Serpents’, ‘Lady and the Soldier’, ‘The Two Sarah Janes’, ‘The Prime Factor’ and ‘The Thirteen+ Doctors’ so far.
There’s WilliamsFan92, who created Michael Anderson for his series of Fifth Doctor stories on his blog. Michael cameoed in ‘The Thirteen+ Doctors’ recently. And there’s Wolfie/Alan Camlann, who’s the editor of the Divergent Wordsmiths and has penned e-novels featuring the Sixth Doctor, Peri and Frobisher, including ‘Eden by Annihilation’, ‘The Ghosts of Peladon’ (co-written with AFJ Kernow) and the upcoming ‘The Alchemists of Fear’. Frobisher also did an introduction and a cameo in ‘The Thirteen+ Doctors’.
I’m very pleased to have worked with these ‘Doctor Who’ fans, writers and creators on ‘The Sunfire Chronicles’. I’ll be making a start on writing up the four stories this week. I’ll be sharing them with fellow collaborators in the next month or so first before I publish the stories on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. My aim is to share ‘The Sunfire Chronicles’ on my blog by May, June or July. We’ll wait and see what happens. 😀

1. ‘THE HORNS OF WULFE’
The Fourth Doctor, Private James and Bazooie meet Becceri, a beautiful gold-haired woman who’s on the run, when they’re visiting the planet Neimor. Can they protect her from a Sontaran head-hunter named Wulfe, who has horns on his head? Will they also help her to locate the powerful Sunfire jewel?
2. ‘ROMANCE AND THE COW CREAMER’
A 1920s seaside resort. An ideal holiday resort for Nyssa, Billy and the Fifth Doctor. Unfortunately, they’re swept into a mystery where the woman called Becceri happens to be at their hotel and has stolen a cow creamer from a wealthy couple of aristocrats. Will the Doctor uncover more of this mystery?
3. ‘THE RACE OF ENDURANCE’
Michael Anderson is an experienced motor racing driver. But can he do well in a space pod race? He hopes so with Tegan as his co-driver. Thing go awry, as Becceri has stowed away aboard their space pod. Will the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa save Tegan, Michael and Becceri from Wulfe the Sontaran?
4. ‘QUASAR OF SARFENIA’
The Sixth Doctor, Peri and Frobisher visit the planet Sarfenia, where the tyrant queen Melbud rules. In her chambers, she has a powerful quasar cannon that can obliterate its neighbouring world Huigo. The Doctor is about to uncover why Becceri has been on the run and why Wulfe the Sontaran hunted her.
