Week 7 – ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And yes! You read right! This is Week 7 of the ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’!

So you know what that means?!!

Last time in ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’!

Luke Skywalker is now a Jedi! Both he and his friends rescue Han Solo from Jabba the Hutt in ‘Return of the Jedi’! Luke and R2-D2 make for Dagobah! Luke meets Yoda there before he dies! Obi-Wan Kenobi tells Luke he must face Darth Vader again! All before Luke finds out Princess Leia is his sister!

The Empire creates a new Death Star! Can’t they think of something better than that, since the first Death Star failed in ‘A New Hope’? Luke and his Rebel friends go to Endor. They get help from the Ewoks to shut down the new Death Star’s shield. Luke soon fights out with his father Darth Vader!!!

But hope is not lost as Darth Vader destroys the Emperor as prophesised in ‘The Phantom Menace’!

Will this mean lasting peace for the rest of the ‘Star Wars’ saga? As if! Check out the next movie!!!

And now we begin the sequels trilogy of the ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’! This week, it’s ‘Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens’.

Yeah, I know. I said I wasn’t going to review the latest ‘Star Wars’ movies after the first six films. But with ‘The Last Jedi’ to be released at the cinemas this December, it’s only fair I re-watch and review ‘The Force Awakens’ in order to keep up-to-date and to know what to expect in the next instalment.

Please check out my review on ‘Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens’ by clicking on the link. Please feel free to read and comment on my review.

Next time I come to the ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’ again, it’ll be on the next film in the saga – ‘Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi’ – which is to be released at cinemas in December 2017.

“Unless of course I get sent back in time between Weeks 3 and 4 of the ‘Star Wars Film Review Season’ and review ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ next!” (puzzled) “Why did I say that just then?” (realises) “Oh no! This isn’t the work of Darth ‘Timelord007’ Vader, is it?”

Darth Vader: “It could be.”

(shouts) “Get out of here, Timelord!”

Timelord007: “Okay! I’m going, I’m going!”

Timelord007 runs off.

(cheerfully; to audience) “In the meantime…enjoy ‘The Force Awakens’ review by me!”

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
