Basement News – July 2020

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We’re still going through unprecedented times because of the coronavirus pandemic – please keep safe – but I hope I’m keeping people entertained with what I share on my blog this year. Whilst there’s still a lack of conventions to attend and movies to see at the cinema during this time, I’m finding new ways to keep myself entertained and I’m currently enjoying new ways to do my blog which I hope to share with you. For now, let’s have a preview for what’s to come on my blog for July 2020 and beyond. 🙂

Recently in June, I added my latest ‘Doctor Who: Zorbius’ story called ‘The End Dilemma’ with the Sixth Doctor and Peri. This month, I’ll be sharing the next story in the series called ‘The Game of Delta’ featuring the Seventh Doctor and Ace. Other stories to follow include ‘The Infinity Planet’ with the Eighth Doctor and ‘The Nightmare of the Warrior’ with the War Doctor. I’m currently uploading my next story in the series called ‘The Child of Death’ with the Ninth Doctor which I hope will be ready by September.

Here’s the situation regarding the Season 14 Blu-ray box set of ‘Doctor Who’ with Tom Baker. I’m currently updating my reviews on each of the stories of that season. I hope to share my updated reviews sometime this month. Stay tuned for a week of reviews on the Season 14 stories starring Tom Baker. I’ve also reviewed the first episode of the ‘P.R.O.B.E’ series called ‘The Zero Imperative’ starring Caroline John. I’ve seen and done quick DVD reviews on ‘The Doctors: The William Hartnell Years’, ‘The Doctors: The Pat Troughton Years’ and ‘The Doctors: Tom Baker Years’. I’ll be sharing a quick review on ‘The Doctors: The Sylvester McCoy Years’ DVD sometime soon and I hope to get around to doing full-length reviews on the Series 12 Blu-ray box set of ‘Doctor Who’ with Jodie Whittaker soon.

In terms of the Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’ I’ve heard recently, I’ve reviewed four Sixth Doctor and Flip audios including ‘The Curse of Davros’, ‘The Fourth Wall’, ‘Wirrn Isle’ and ‘Antidote to Oblivion’. I’ve also reviewed ‘Infernal Devices’ with the War Doctor; ‘The Seventh Doctor: The New Adventures’ – Volume 1 which include ‘The Trial of a Time Machine’, ‘Vanguard’, ‘The Jabari Countdown’ and ‘The Dread of Night’; and I’ve reviewed ‘Dark Universe’ with the Seventh Doctor and Ace. I’ll soon be sharing reviews on ‘The Psychic Circus’ and ‘Zagreus’ on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ in July.

I’ve recently shared my reviews on Series 2 of ‘Call the Midwife’ and I’m currently watching Series 3 with my parents. I’ve also reviewed ‘Spider-Man: The New Animated Series’ on my blog. I’ve recently made a start on watching the ‘Grantchester’ series on DVD from the beginning and have shared quick TV episode reviews on Series 1, Episode 1 and Series 1, Episode 2. I’m also currently watching Season 4 of ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’ which I hope to share on my blog sometime soon. I’m also currently watching Series 4 of ‘The Brittas Empire’ on DVD.

In terms of movies I’ve reviewed on my blog, I’ve reviewed the four movies featured in the Agatha Christie Murder Mystery DVD collection. This includes reviews on the 1974 film ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, the 1978 film ‘Death on the Nile’, the 1980 film ‘The Mirror Crack’d’ and the 1982 film ‘Evil Under The Sun’. I’ve also reviewed the unreleased 1994 film ‘The Fantastic Four’ and ‘Postman Pat: The Movie’ on my blog. This month, I’ll soon be sharing reviews on Phase Three: Part Two of the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’. I’ve also done a quick movie review on ‘The Personal Life of David Copperfield’.

In July, I’ll soon be sharing a new ‘convention memories’ blog post about attending the ‘Stars of Time’ convention in Weston-super-mare back in July 2012. I’m currently enjoying reading and reviewing a ‘Doctor Who’ book series for Easter and I hope to share another movie trailer review soon.

There is a sense that things are slowly returning to normal despite uncertain times. I hope we’ll return to happier times, but I continue to pray that everyone will keep safe during this difficult time. I’m still looking forward to when I can go to a convention and see people like Sarah Sutton, Peter Davison and Sophie Aldred again and I hope I’ll get to see a movie soon at the cinema. At present, I hope I’ll see ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ and the 2020 film adaptation of ‘The Secret Garden’ at the cinema in August. Let’s see what happens.

In the meantime, I hope you’ll continue to enjoy my blog as I intend to keep on sharing reviews on various things in order to keep you entertained. Please keep safe and stay healthy wherever you are.

Many thanks to everyone who has supported my blog!

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
