It’s time for us to start checking out Part 2 of Series 6 in the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. We start off with the episode called ‘Let’s Kill Hitler’ by Steven Moffat. I was hoping that this would be an episode featuring a full-on Nazi Germany extravaganza with Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, Karen Gillan as Amy Pond and Arthur Darvill as Rory. Will that be the case when checking out the episode itself? This episode also features Alex Kingston as River Song and Nina Toussaint-White as Mels, Amy and Rory’s childhood friend. There’s also the return of Caitlin Blackwood who plays Amelia Pond in the episode. ‘Let’s Kill Hitler’ also features the Teselecta, a shape-changing and human-looking robot that’s manned by a human crew from the future, and they’re miniaturised inside it. The Teselecta also contains deadly antibodies inside it. ‘Let’s Kill Hitler’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer.

It’s time for us to check out the first ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special that features Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor. This is ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Steven Moffat, based of course on the classic 1843 novella by Charles Dickens of the same name. 😀 The Christmas Special was shown on BBC TV on Christmas Day in 2010. As well as Matt Smith, there’s Karen Gillan as Amy Pond and Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams, who are now married in the TV series. There’s Michael Gambon (who I’ve seen in the BBC’s 1999 TV production of ‘Wives & Daughters’ and is well-known for being in the ‘Harry Potter’ films) as the Scrooge-like Kazran Sardick. And there’s Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins who makes her acting debut as Abigail. There’s also Laurence Belcher as a young Kazran and Danny Horn as a grown-up Kazran. The special also has flying giant sharks in it. 😀 ‘A Christmas Carol’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer.

This is the 50th anniversary special of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘The Day of the Doctor’ by Steven Moffat. It features Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor and Jenna Coleman as Clara. It also features David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, John Hurt as the War Doctor and Billie Piper as the Moment. It also features Daleks and Zygons.

This is the mid-season opener in Series 6 of ‘Doctor Who’. In this episode, the Doctor, Amy and Rory get to meet River Song…before she became River Song. Sounds weird, I know. And despite this episode being called ‘Let’s Kill Hitler’, it barely features him. I found this disappointing when I saw the episode.

It stars Christian Bale as Batman and is directed by Christopher Nolan. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of this ‘Batman’ film trilogy.
