For Christmas 2020, I gave my Mum a 3-disc DVD set of an ‘Agatha Christie Collection featuring Peter Ustinov’ in his ‘classic role’ as Hercule Poirot. For my Dad, I gave him a Blu-ray edition of 2016’s ‘Pete’s Dragon’. We’ve enjoyed watching these films very much over the Christmas holidays.

This is ‘Maleficent’, a live-action remake of the 1959 film ‘Sleeping Beauty’. I saw ‘Maleficent’ starring Angelina Jolie as the character on Disney+

How do I sum up a TV drama series from the early 1970s about a family in Liverpool who went through the Second World War? Well, it probably wasn’t what I was expecting all the time. The series changed a lot and many characters didn’t last to the end. But the writing and the cast are very good.
